Akroasis is the vision of Vasileia Diminidou, created to explore and share the powerful
connection between acting and self-awareness while using technology to bring theatre
into every home.
Its purpose extends beyond entertainment. Akroasis explores the transformative potential
of art and acting as paths to self-awareness, personal development and deeper inner
understanding. Through theatrical performances, educational material and the online
Dramatherapy seminar “Theatre in Connection with the Soul”, it introduces audiences to
an approach in which artistic expression becomes a means of discovering and
understanding the self.
At the same time, Akroasis serves as a platform for artists and creators. It was developed
in response to the growing need for artistic work to reach wider audiences through
technology, creating new opportunities for writers, actors, directors and other
professionals to present and promote their work.
The project was developed through the collaboration of professionals from theatre,
cinema, journalism and advertising, based on an original concept by Vasileia Diminidou.
Its aim has always been to connect creative people, encourage meaningful collaborations
and provide artists with new ways to present their work, build experience and strengthen
their professional presence.
As technology and the arts continue to evolve, Akroasis has expanded its vision into
digital theatre and streaming performances, making quality Greek theatrical productions
accessible from home, with English subtitles available for international audiences.
Through this combination of theatre, technology and self-awareness, Akroasis seeks both
to introduce audiences to new forms of artistic expression and to bring attention to
emerging and established writers, directors, actors and other creators whose work
deserves to be seen.
